High performance carbon fibre tubes wound, plain weave (3k) matt painted
These carbon fiber tubes are tightly wound when roll-wrapped for a low resin content 100% carbon fiber continuous tube. Each tube's inner and outer diameter specifications are very accurate. These ultra stiff and lightweight tubes make excellent spars or drone arms/gimbal parts.
Roll wrapped carbon fibre tubes with a smooth surface finish made of 3k carbon fabric prepreg in plain weave, clear-coated matt. Subjacent layers from unidirectional non-crimp fabric. High-quality epoxy resin matrix.
Roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes are universally strong and can tolerate all forces equally. Unlike carbon fiber pultruded tubes they can withstand twist (torque) force, compression, tension and deflection without splitting. This is because the fibres have been wound around the diameter of the tube as well as running length ways. First the tube mandrel is wound with unidirectional carbon fibre around the diameter, then it is wrapped with the fibres running the length (longitudinally), finally it is finished with a wrap of 3K twill before it is cured in an autoclave, roll sanded and recoated with epoxy.
