Engineering-Grade Durable Woven Finish Roll Wrapped Carbon Fibre Tubes

At LIJIN we pride ourselves on our huge range of engineering-grade carbon fibre tubes which includes these great-looking woven finish roll-wrapped carbon fibre tubes. Tubes in this range are manufactured using the roll-wrapping process using 100% high-strength carbon fibre reinforcement for excellent 'real-world' multi-axis strength but they are finished with an attractive 2x2 twill carbon fabric for that classic carbon fibre appearance resulting in tubes that look as good as they perform. These tubes are suitable for a wide range of applications including UAVs, quad-copters, aero-modeling, camera rigs, tripods, automation, leisure equipment, motor-sport, and much more.

Roll-wrapped carbon fibre tubes are manufactured by wrapping multiple layers of prepreg carbon fibre reinforcement around a metal mandrel which is wrapped with shrink tape and cured at high temperature. Because the reinforcement is wrapped in layers around the mandrel, it is possible to alternate the alignment of the carbon fibre between layers, enabling roll-wrapped tubes to have longitudinal stiffness down their length, as well as strength in the 'hoop' direction, making them more resilient to crush, burst and torsional fracture. This round tubing is comprised of Carbon Fiber Braid and Unidirectional Fabrics. This product is ideal for building lightweight frames and structures such as trusses. Our Carbon Fiber square tubing has been engineered to be much stronger under torsional and side loading than pultruded tubing.

Our tubing is also significantly lighter than pultruded tubing. Our carbon fiber square tube has been designed so that the unidirectional layers are captured in a sandwich structure, eliminating longitudinal cracking and splitting. The finish on this product is different from our other product lines. These square tubes show the texture of the carbon fiber braid with a wet shiny appearance.
