Extremely Strong and Durable Carbon Fiber High Gloss Woven Sheets
High Gloss Twill Carbon Fiber Sheet is an outstanding decorative laminate with a deep, glossy, three dimensional finish. It is constructed with layers unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg layed up in a 0/90 degree orientation with a single layer of 2x2 twill carbon fiber prepreg on each of the outside surfaces. This type of construction produces a decorative laminate that has the classic carbon fiber look but with greater strength and stiffness than to our Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Sheets.
The carbon fiber sheet is semi-flexible, yet remains stiff like cardstock. It can bend in only one direction at a time making it suitable for either flat surfaces or pipes. Once cured, these sheets cannot be re-shaped. Therefore they will not lie flat on compound curves, convex or concave surfaces. One side features our recognized high gloss finish while available options for the opposite side include a high gloss, matte or adhesive backed finish.
Our proprietary Autoclave curing process produces the most consistent and highest quality gloss carbon fiber sheets possible. Manufactured using 100% real carbon fiber fabric pre-impregnated with high quality epoxy resin, these sheets are cured at high temperatures and pressure to ensure a strong, rigid product that cannot be re-shaped after cured. Unlike a wet layup, our Autoclave curing process consistently yields flat, lightweight sheets with minimal voids, waves or buildups.
These 1st quality sheets are manufactured with a clear, resin-rich carbon fiber prepreg which results in a smooth, low porosity laminate with a mirror-like finish. Our special blend of high strength epoxy resin guarantees a durable, stronger, longer lasting finish. The built in UV inhibitor in the 2x2 twill prepreg resists UV rays in outdoor applications. There is no need for fillers, gel coats or surface treatments to enhance the surface appearance of our sheets.

Advantages
To create a more uniform distribution of strength, all Enhanced Composites sheets are manufactured using layers of 0°/90° and 45°/-45° oriented reinforcement in what is known as quasi-isotropic fibre orientation. Carbon fibre sheets using this layup technique offer improved stiffness across their diagonal axis and significantly improved torsional stiffness.
All panels are made with a high-performance epoxy resin that offers excellent mechanical functions, clarity and improved UV stability, however, we recommend a UV-stable coat to prolong the grade A finish. An elevated post-cure temperature is applied to increase the mechanical strength of the panel, resulting in a higher Tg and enhancing the inter-laminar sheer strength.
