Carbon Fiber Tube - 8mm x 6mm x 500mm - Twill Weave, Glossy Surface
These tubes are roll-wrapped pre-preg made from 100% carbon fibre. 3K Roll wrapped tubes feature multi-axial orientation of the carbon fibres which gives them more uniformly distributed strength ideally suited to more demanding 'real world' applications where load and forces are rarely in only one direction. Typical uses include mast poles, spinnakers, booms, structural racking and many other medium to heavy-duty applications.
Carbon Fiber Tubing - 6mm x 8mm x 500mm. 3K Tow - Twill weave, glossy surface. Super high-strength tubing. Outer Wall (8mm), Inner Diameter (6mm), Wall thickness (1mm), Length (500mm).
Carbon Fiber
Lijin carbon fiber tubes are made via a continuous pultrusion process resulting in a very rigid, strong, and straight material. The fibers are aligned the entire length of the tube, giving it exceptional flexibility and strength.
Carbon fiber tubes can be cut with a hand machine saw or rotary tool. Bonds readily with epoxy resins.
What are carbon fiber tubes used for?
Carbon fiber tubes are used in a wide range of applications, including tactical ladders, systems, rods, and beams. Carbon fiber provides low weight, and better mechanical properties over conventional materials like aluminum, and steel.
Are carbon fiber tubes strong?
Carbon fiber tubes are used in numerous applications like tactical ladders, trusses, beams, and more. Carbon fiber is typically chosen over traditional materials such as aluminum, steel, and titanium because of the following properties: High strength and stiffness to weight.
Do carbon fiber tubes bend?
Our carbon fiber tubing is built using a thermoset epoxy resin. This means that once cured the epoxy never returns to a liquid state. If you tried to bend our tubing it would break with enough applied force but it will not bend. Carbon fiber/epoxy composite is very stiff!
